A Soft Launch : Sharing My First Resin Creations

It wasn’t loud. There was no big announcement, no sales table, no price list. Just a small group of people, a Christmas meal, and a handful of resin ornaments I made with equal parts excitement and self-doubt.

For me, this Friday afternoon was the beginning.

I’ve wanted to create and sell resin pieces for a long time — but fear has always got there first. Fear of not being good enough. Fear of being judged. Fear that what I make won’t be worth anything.

So instead of launching "Heart And Resin" with a fanfare, I chose something gentler. I made resin ornaments and gifted them at a Christmas social dinner. I included a small card with my name and email — not promotional, just a quiet note saying this is me, and I made this.

And to my surprise, people were genuinely interested. Not politely-interested — but curious. Asking questions about how I make them, how resin works, how long they take, and what else I want to create.

Their reactions made me feel something I haven’t felt for a while:

Maybe I can do this. Maybe I am better than I think. Maybe the small voice that wants me to try deserves attention too.

This wasn’t a launch with fireworks. This was a launch with courage. And right now — courage is enough.

What I Learned:

✔ Soft launches are still launches ✔ People are kinder than the voice in my head ✔ Sharing my work was terrifying and exciting ✔ Small steps are steps forward

What’s Next?

I want to keep learning, experimenting, and refining my craft. I want to share more of the process — successes and mistakes. And eventually, I want to feel ready to sell.

But for today, I’m celebrating the first tiny step.

A handmade ornament. A real conversation. A spark of belief.

This is the beginning — and I’m proud of it. ✨ — Linda
